Kenitra Dominguez is the founder of Bay Equity HR and serves on the Advisory Board of the California Black Women’s Health Project. Her work has been featured in The Washington Post, HuffPost, and Teen Vogue. Her debut book, “Because I Deserve It: What Chronic Illness Taught Me About Finding My Voice in the Healthcare System,” is a memoir and practical guide for patient self-advocacy, aimed at Black women and anyone living with chronic illness. Kenitra’s personal experiences with idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) have shaped her advocacy work and her approach to health equity and patient rights.

Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH) is an underdiagnosed and undertreated disorder of elevated pressure within the brain without an identifiable cause. The IIH Practioner Series is designed for neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuro-interventionalists, endovascular surgeons, interventionist radiologists, neuroradiologists, ophthalmologists, optometrists, and ENT specialists.
